Breaking News 🚨: Delta Airlines Jet Crashes at Toronto Pearson Airport with 80 Passengers On Board

Delta Plane Flips on Runway in Toronto, 18 Injured

Toronto, Canada – A Delta Connection flight operated by Endeavor Air crash-landed at Toronto Pearson International Airport earlier today, flipping upside down on the runway during landing. The aircraft, a Bombardier CRJ900LR, was carrying 80 passengers and crew members when it lost control amid heavy crosswinds and snowy conditions.

Emergency response teams rushed to the scene as passengers evacuated the overturned plane. Officials confirmed that 18 people sustained injuries, though none were life-threatening. Eyewitnesses described a chaotic scene, with some passengers struggling to free themselves while the smell of jet fuel filled the air.

The flight, which departed from LaGuardia Airport in New York, was attempting to land when it reportedly encountered severe turbulence. Witnesses at the airport said the plane touched down roughly, veered off course, and flipped onto its roof. Airport operations were briefly disrupted, and Runway 05R/23L was closed for safety inspections.

Delta Air Lines released a statement expressing concern for those injured and confirmed its cooperation with investigators. The Transportation Safety Board of Canada, along with the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board, has launched an investigation into the incident. Preliminary reports suggest weather conditions and possible wind shear may have played a role.

Passengers recounted the terrifying moments as the plane skidded before overturning. “We hit the ground hard, and the next thing we knew, we were upside down,” one survivor said. Another passenger described the scene as “mass chaos,” with emergency crews working quickly to get people out.

Flights at Pearson International Airport have resumed, though some delays were reported. Authorities have assured the public that safety remains a priority as they work to determine the cause of the crash.
