Britain’s Harriet Dart has apologized for saying her opponent, France’s Lois Boisson, “smells actually dangerous” throughout her complete defeat on the Rouen Open on Tuesday.
Throughout a second-set changeover, Dart, who misplaced 6-0, 6-3, was captured on the published asking the umpire to inform Boisson to make use of deodorant.

Boisson gave a light-hearted response to the incident. She posted a photograph on Instagram of her on courtroom with a Dove deodorant edited into the picture above her hand, tagging the corporate and writing that they “apparently want a collab.”
The victory marked a shocking upset for the 303rd-ranked Boisson, who made her first WTA Tour look of the season following harm. Dart, who’s ranked No. 62, didn’t convert any of her six break factors and dropped her serve 4 occasions.
