Recent protests erupted on Monday in Jos, the capital of Plateau State, over the continued killings of indigenous residents by suspected Fulani militants.

The demonstrations had been led by Christian leaders, together with the Plateau State chairman of the Christian Affiliation of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. Polycarp Lubo.

Protesters gathered on the Fawvwei Junction neighborhood street, inflicting heavy site visitors congestion and leaving many commuters stranded.

The protest is available in response to a latest spike in violent assaults throughout Plateau communities, with stories indicating that over 100 folks have been killed in Bokkos and Bassa Native Authorities Areas inside the previous two weeks.
