The Vice Chairman of Agege Native Authorities Space in Lagos State, Mr. Oluwagbenga Abiola, has formally withdrawn from the forthcoming chairmanship race scheduled for July 12, 2025.
Abiola introduced that he was stepping apart in favour of Abdulganiyu Obasa, son of the Speaker of the Lagos State Home of Meeting, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa.

Talking with journalists on Wednesday in Lagos, Abiola reiterated his unwavering dedication to the All Progressives Congress (APC) and to Speaker Obasa’s management.
He described his withdrawal as a voluntary, well-considered transfer aimed toward strengthening social gathering unity and supporting the Speaker’s son in his political ambition.
The event follows current calls by key stakeholders in Agege, who urged Speaker Obasa to endorse Abdulganiyu for the chairmanship, citing the Speaker’s enduring contributions to the world’s political and infrastructural development.
