Aide makes clarifications on alleged resignation of Niger deputy gov, Yakubu Garba 

The Deputy Governor of Niger State, Comrade Yakubu Garba, has not resigned from workplace, opposite to rumours circulating broadly on social media.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor, Ummikhultume Abdullahi, instructed newsmen that the hypothesis is fake and with out foundation.

She confirmed that Garba stays totally in workplace and continues to hold out his duties from his official residence close to the Authorities Home in Minna.

“I’m presently in his official residence; he’s upstairs whereas I’m downstairs. I can categorically let you know that Comrade Yakubu Garba continues to be the Deputy Governor of Niger State. There’s nothing like resignation,” Abdullahi said.

The clarification comes amid rising political rigidity fuelled by the resignation rumours.

Officers from the Deputy Governor’s workplace have urged the general public to ignore the misinformation and cautioned towards spreading false studies able to inflicting pointless unrest.
