Chief of the nationwide ruling social gathering in South South geopolitical zone in Nigeria, Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State has assured that APC will certainly seize the remaining three states ruled by the opposition, Peoples Democratic Get together, PDP.
Governor Otu emphasised that Cross River, which for years stood because the lone APC-governed state within the South-South, now proudly shares the progressive banner with Delta and Edo States.
Recall that yesterday the Vice President Shettima Kashim, nationwide chairman of APC, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, and Gov Otu formally acquired Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, into the APC household.
The three states dominated by PDP presently embody Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa and Rivers State, though now below emergency rule of a sole administrator for six months following suspension of Governor Sim Fubara.
Otu, who spoke on his return to Calabar, the Cross River capital, mentioned: “An rising variety of South-South states below APC governance is a dream realized.”
Governor Otu famous that when the opposite three states are lastly captured, it would set the stage for deeper regional collaboration, accelerated financial improvement, and higher political stability.
