Peoples Democratic Occasion, PDP, former presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar has charged President Bola Tinubu to name his household to order.
Atiku accused Tinubu’s son, Seyi of dedication to obtain political loyalty for the president by any means potential.
He was reacting to allegations by the President of the Nationwide Affiliation of Nigerian College students, NANS, Atiku Isah of bodily assault, kidnapping, and inducement by Seyi.
In a press release by his Media Aide, Paul Ibe, Atiku mentioned the severe allegations made by Isah, alleging bodily assault, abduction, and inducement by the hands of Seyi Tinubu, are deeply alarming and strike on the core of democratic norms and civil liberty.
The previous Vice President mentioned such grave accusations being levelled in opposition to a member of the primary household is each disturbing and harmful.
The assertion reads: “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu should urgently rein in his relations, notably his son, Seyi Tinubu, who seems decided to buy political loyalty for his father by any means mandatory, together with coercion, violence, and intimidation.
“Had this incident ended fatally, it will have been recorded among the many rising listing of atrocities dedicated by felony parts within the nation. That it’s allegedly tied to the President’s personal son makes it much more horrifying.
“What’s worse is the rising suggestion that even prime safety officers aren’t past Seyi Tinubu’s overreaching affect — an unacceptable compromise of state establishments.”
Atiku accused Tinubu’s household of attempting to subjugate NANS or any civil society group by way of “threats, bribe, or brute pressure.”
The previous Vice President urged imminent Nigerians to talk up in opposition to the actions of Tinubu’s household.
“Properly-meaning Nigerians should rise to talk out,” including that “We should remind them that the presidency is a public belief, not a personal inheritance.”
He described makes an attempt to attach him to Isah politically as baseless, malicious, and determined.
