Operatives of the Edo State Police Command have arrested 95 suspected cultists and recovered arms and ammunition.
DAILY POST experiences that the PublicĀ Relations Officer of the Command, Moses Yamu disclosed this in an announcement made accessible to DAILY POST, weekend, in Benin Metropolis.
Yamu stated the suspects had been members of the infamous Maphites, Eiye, and Aye confraternities.
He alleged that they’ve been liable for the cult supremacy killings within the State.
He stated out of the 95 suspects, 64 of them have been charged to courtroom and remanded, whereas investigation continues on the remaining suspects.
The Public Relations Officer listed objects recovered from the suspects to incorporate two regionally made pistols, one single barrel shotgun, and 24 dwell cartridges.
