All Delta State Peoples Democratic Social gathering, PDP, Home of Representatives members have formally defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Their defection was made public by the Speaker of the Home of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, throughout plenary on Tuesday.
Recall that former Delta State governor, Ifeanyi Okowa and his successor, Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, had dumped the PDP for the APC.
Oborevwori and Okowa introduced their defection throughout a stakeholders assembly in Asaba, Delta State.
Following their defections, the Home of Representatives member from Ideato Federal constituency of Imo State, Ikenga Ugochinyere, had disclosed that two extra state governors and 40 lawmakers on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Social gathering, PDP, will quickly defect.
Nevertheless, former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, had stated the PDP can be repositioned regardless of the defections, stressing that those that need to defect are free to depart.
