In a significant political shift, three serving senators from Kebbi State who have been elected beneath the platform of the Peoples Democratic Occasion (PDP) have formally defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The senators—Adamu Aliero (Kebbi Central), a former governor of the state; Yahaya Abdullahi (Kebbi North); and Garba Maidoki (Kebbi South)—introduced their defection following a gathering with President Bola Tinubu on the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Friday.
They have been accompanied by the Nationwide Chairman of the APC, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje.
The assembly was additionally attended by key political figures, together with Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, Sokoto State Governor, Ahmad Aliyu, and the Minister of Price range and Financial Planning, Senator Atiku Bagudu.
