Benue: Gov Alia requires statewide unity amid safety challenges

Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, has made an impassioned attraction for unity among the many individuals of the state as they face escalating safety issues stemming from persistent assaults by armed herdsmen.

He lamented the continued assaults on Benue communities.

Gov Alia described the state of affairs as a crucial menace to the very survival of the state, calling for collective resolve and solidarity in confronting the menace.

He said this whereas giving his midterm report on Sunday on the township stadium in Vandeikya.

He urged residents to keep up vigilance and work hand-in-hand with safety forces to defend their communities.

Governor Alia acknowledged the Federal Authorities for dispatching further safety operatives to bolster peace efforts and urged residents to cooperate totally to make sure these initiatives yield lasting outcomes.

Highlighting his administration’s achievements, the Governor pointed to important progress in key sectors resembling schooling, healthcare, agriculture, ICT, infrastructure, safety, transportation, and human capital improvement.
