A number of homes has been destroyed as residents fled from their properties following a communal conflict between communities in Gwer East and Konshisha GAs of Benue State.

DAILY POST gathered that the incident occurred over the weekend between the 2 communities that has engaged in reccuring communal conflicts prior to now three months over age lengthy variations.

A supply who spoke on situation of anonymity mentioned the newest incident occurred when the Mbaiase neighborhood in Masev of Gwer East LGA, launched a shock assault on the Gbinde neighborhood in Mbagusa, Mbatser, ShangevTiev of Konshisha LGA.

The renewed clashes between the 2 warring communities was confirmed by the media aide to the Govt Chairman of Konshisha LGA, Terhide Fave.

Fave mentioned there was no lack of lives through the assault however it led to destruction of properties and dislocation of households of which many have fled to neighboring communities for security.

The Chairman of Konshisha LGA, Terfa Moses Chikyaa, who visited the realm, condemned the assault and urged the communities to stay calm and never react violently.
