Omoyele Sowore, former presidential candidate has referred to as for the resignation of the Registrar of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB Prof Ishaq Oloyede.
DAILY POST stories that after a nationwide outrage over the mass failure recorded within the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, the board on Wednesday bowed and admitted there have been errors.
Oloyede, whereas apologising to candidates, who had been affected by the technical errors, broke down in tears.
Nevertheless, Sowore is of the opinion that shedding tears for the “group’s egregious errors”, isn’t sufficient, asking the Registrar to tender his resignation.
In line with the favored activist, upon his resignation, an intensive investigation needs to be carried out on the board.
He wrote, “The Registrar of the Jamb official Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Prof. Oloyede bears duty for the group’s egregious errors, which have devastatingly claimed a younger life, shedding crocodile tears isn’t a treatment for these infractions.
“As a primary step, he ought to resign, adopted by an intensive investigation and potential prosecution for manslaughter.
“Furthermore, JAMB should be scrapped. #revolutionnow”.
